Abingdon in British Railway Modelling

A trip to the London Festival of Railway Modelling revealed an extra surprise for one of our members. Back in December, he had the privilege of having his layout photographed by Jamie Warne in preparation for an article to feature in British Railway Modelling, and an article was written in January of this year in preparation for its feature. However, the publication also coincided with Ally Pally this year, with the layout featured on the cover of the April 2023 magazine.

The article explains the benefits of club membership. A recent poll on RMWeb had recently revealed that a massive 76% of railway modellers were not part of a club. The article explains how the Abingdon project turned out to be a mammoth task, and using the experience and expertise found within a club has allowed Abingdon to come to fruition.
