Oldstead Gate
Affectionately referred to within the club as “Roundy Roundy”, this layout goes to prove that simple layouts can be a huge amount of fun!
Its comprised of two loops of oo gauge track on several boards that neatly fold down and transported in a family car. Once set up, it allows both the running in of stock, but proves to be a mesmerising site when two express trains or a slow goods thunders through Oldstead Gate station.
Most buildings are constructed from off the shelf kits which you can see in your local model shop.
Given the simple nature of the layout, its not uncommon for members of the public to be invited to run a train, and see of they can stop right for Oldstead Gate Station. so if you see us at an exhibition, come over and give it a try!
